Brightlingsea Musical Theatre Group has been captivating audiences with vibrant performances and community spirit since its inception in 1980. Join us in celebrating our rich history.
What we do
We run primarily on Volunteers and good will. Our members are involved with everything from choosing the show to making the set. Our actors are dancers and singers but also artists, builders, sewers, painters, crafters, salesmen, bakers, chefs, and a whole lot more all working together and giving some help where they can to put on our shows. We are a group that has a ‘family feel’ and we genuinely enjoy working together to do the thing we love.
Our Passion for Performance
Since 1980 BMTG have been putting on Musicals mainly in Brightlingsea. We are a group that pride ourselves in including everyone who wants to be involved!

Upcoming Shows
We are excited about our next few shows! This year is our 45th aniversary and we are looking forward to having a Concert in November for Members past and present as well as family and friends of the group!
Next year we are looking forward to putting on Sister Act in May! rehersals will start for this in January come along if you would ike to join in!
Last years production
May 2025 saw us put on Little Shop Of Horrors at the Community center in Brightlingsea. The show sold very well and had many glowing reviews. we recieved 3 NETG nominations and Won the award for the first:
Consept, presentation & performance of Audrey 2.
Jake Scales best actor.
